
If your familiar with adb you dont need a freezer app. Youll probably want to sideload the google playstore so you can easily install apps.ġ)Sideload an XBMC from this thread (links above).Ģ)Launch you apk freezer app and freeze the firetv launcher (depending on your app it may be listed as KFTV Launcher).You will want to sideload an android app manager (as you will loose the ability to uninstall apps from the firetv launcher).You will probably want to get anything you want from the amazon store (ie the firetv netflix app).If your on WIFI and need to change settings allot think about sideloading a wifi manager.You will want to sideload an app that can freeze apk's ( appfreezer or titanium backup).To download the following apk's for sideloading you can use this website by feeding it the URL's below.If you wish to keep your existing DATA please check the second post in this thread for possible scenarios You will need to uninstall the official XBMC apk before proceeding.Depending on the android apps you use you may need a USB mouse or trackpad.DO NOT remove/uninstall XBMC after completing these steps.You will probably want to disable updates.Please read entire FIRST and SECOND post.To get this going without xposed modules follow these steps. Just a couple tweaks from stock including. Here is Kodi Media Centre compiled to work as an android launcher. You will loose access to the firetv launcher and amazon prime videos/storeīut dont fear the entire process is reverseable if you dont like it, check second post.įiretv is way faster without the firetv launcher running in the background also it is not using up bandwidth while you are trying to stream vids in XBMC!
